Douglas Edgar

A warm  welcome  to the 'high island', the island of Hoy, join Dougie (pronounced Doogie) for a walk to the Old Man of Hoy, with breathtaking cliff walks and views, or other wilderness walks.  Enjoy a picnic by Rackwick beach, watch the sea eagles, investigate a 5000 year old tomb, just for starters!

Share his passion for this island's long and varied history, share ancient folk stories, be amazed at what you see, and achieve, in just a short visit.

Dougie has family connections which date back through generations.   His detailed knowledge of the social history of the island is fascinating, sometimes sad, sometimes hilarious.

He looks forward to sharing an adventure with you and welcoming you to his home island.
